Our story begins with our great grandmother, Nieves from Vega Alta, Puerto Rico. For our great grandmother, growing up in Puerto Rico meant cooking every meal with only the purest ingredients from the island. After leaving Puerto Rico and settling in the Bronx, she was dissatisfied with the additive filled Latin seasoning options found at local supermarkets and started to regularly blend her own Sofrito. Our great grandmother eventually passed down her homemade Sofrito recipe to her granddaughter, our mother, Lisa.

Growing up, fresh Sofrito was a staple in our kitchen and the star ingredient of every meal. Our passion for cooking fresh and authentic Latin meals  translated to our vision of bottling this cherished piece of our culture and sharing with others.

Our mission is simple- to reclaim fresh and authentic Latin flavors we love and share with the community.
